What to Expect From the Nilufar Gallery During Fuorisalone 2018 – Next week, Milan will host another edition of the Milan Design Week/ Fuorisalone, and the famous Nilufar Gallery will be one of the main power points and places to be of this famous event! Here’s what you should expect from Nilufar at this Milan Design Week!
Since the 90s, the Nilufar Gallery has been able to become a reference point for those who love historical design, and at the same time for those who follow the evolution of contemporary design, in particular of that area more cultured, poetic and visionary that moves between production and contemporary art.
Nina Yashar, the gallery’s founder, works with sister Nilu and a staff of five. Nilufar has participated in several editions of the Pavillon des Arts et du Design in Paris and is present every year at Design Miami / Basel. But Nilufar is also a regular presence at the Fuorisalone, and for this year’s edition, they are preparing a strong showcase that will transform this space in a privileged vantage point for the euphoric and restless design scene of the city.
At the Nilufar Depot (Viale Vincenzo Lancetti, 34 Milano), a huge secondary location of the Nilufar Gallery, Nina Yashar will present the new layout of the location. That design it’s inspired by houseplants. The Depot atrium is transformed into a stage theater, an imaginary room where we will be able to see some new projects of Analogia Project, Lindsey Adelman, Baciocchi Associati, Ilaria Balduino Sartori, Nicolini / Bertocco, CRD studio, Cristina Celestino, Maarten De Ceulaer, are exhibited, Francesco Faccin & Francesco Meda, Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt, Martino Gamper, Nuala Goodman, Gupica, Carlo Massoud, Claude Missir, Atelier Lavit, Massimiliano Locatelli, Xavier Lust, David / Nicolas, Federico Peri, Hannes Peer, Analogy Project, Roberto Rota, Osanna Visconti di Modrone, Kiki Van Eijk, Vasconcellos Barreto, Bethan Laura Wood and Zanellato / Bortotto.
The Galleria Nilufar at Via Della Spiga 32 will host a special and important monographic exhibition dedicated to Joaquim Tenreiro, considered the father of Brazilian design, in dialogue with the new installation Fontana Amorosa designed by Michael Anastassiades.
At this main location of Nilufar, you can also check out some of the regular exhibitions of the Gallery that, as you probably know by know, feature the work of a variety of artists, designers and architects.
